 Explore red wines on Valentine's Day!
Valentine’s day is a great excuse to taste some rich red wines. From silky and sultry to strong and brutish, you’ll find your valentine’s fantasy in a glass of wine. Here are some tips to create a red wine Valentine’s party...
• Go to your local wine store and ask them to suggest some of their favorite, most diverse red wines from countries known for their aproach to love...France, Argentina, Spain, Italy. If you don’t have someone your trust, try picking a variety such as a Malbec from Argetnina, a silky Merlot from Bordeaux, a Chianti from italy (made from the Sangiovese grape), and any other wines from places you associate with love.
• Gather enough glasses for all of your friends to have two glasses each, or ask them to bring their own glasses.
• Disguise the wines (you can do it your self, or use our festive WineWrappers from WineParty)
• Encourage your guests to try them all, and taste them side by side in their two glasses. (If anyone is driving home, encourage them to sip and spit, just like the professionals)
• Offer a prize of a bottle of wine or a box of chocolates for the person who guesses which wine is from a certain country, or give a prize for the most sexy, imaginative description of a wine’s taste and aroma.
