Tender and Succulent Rib Tricks
Here are some tips to make the most delicious ribs, in four
easy steps. There are two types of BBQ ribs – the kind that stick to the bone
and are tough and difficult to eat and the type that fall off the bone. If you
like the latter, you need a bit of time and some planning, but it’s totally
worth it. You can use this technique for pretty much any type of rib: lamb,
beef, pork (it’s not necessary for baby back ribs though).

Thanksgiving Recipes

For years I’ve been working on perfecting my homemade pie, and I really think I'm close. While many people fear making a pie crust from scratch, I find the whole process cathartic. It’s quite simple and exponentially more delicious than purchasing a frozen pie shell once you get the hang of it.
The dough – it’s all about the butter, baby
A great pie begins with a great crust. And a great crust means going all butter!
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup self-rising flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 tablespoon sugar (sweet pies only)
• 1 cup European-style butter, cold, cut into small pieces (or unsalted if not available)
• 1/4 cup ice water, plus more if needed

Which may explain why we chose ParisSmarts as the first of our city series. And why I turn to our WinePassport: France frequently when I'm headed to the wine shop to search for new wines to taste.
