Written by Theo Lieber, a dog lover who has been an editor and a bookseller and is currently the co-founder and editor-in-chief of a children's book business in New York City.

Edited by Paul Mundell, national director of canine programs at the nonprofit Canine Companions for Independence; providing highly trained assistance dogs to children and adults with disabilities. Mundell also has served as a dog behavioral consultant. His research interests include studying how dogs learn and how different factors influence canine behavior.


 
 
     
   
 
 

Get Your Pooch in Print

 We'll be going back to press on DogSmarts soon and need more dog photos to add to the current cute ones on the the cards; If you have an especially cute pooch, please send us a photo and release form. There are still a few more breeds that we're looking which are outlined on the release form so they'll get first dibs, but we'll consider other especially adorable pups.
